2015 END MS Benefit

  • Help find a cure for MS by supporting the

4th Annual ΣND MS Benefit Concert!

The Brothers of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Theta Kappa Chapter (Georgia Southern University) would like to invite you to the 4th Annual ΣND MS Benefit Concert. The event will take place at our chapter house on Tuesday, October 22nd from 6-8 p.m. Our address is 103 Olympic Boulevard, Statesboro, GA 30458. The musical entertainment will be provided by: "The Accomplices", an area favorite, and will be served up with a Low Country Boil. Tickets can be purchased from any member for $5, so please join us!

Visit the "National MS Fundraising & Giving site".

The money that we raise for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be used to find the cause, treatment, and the cure of multiple sclerosis. The money is also used to provide education, information, direct financial support, and scholarships to individuals and families living with MS. Over the past three years, we have donated over $22,000 for this worthy cause. Our goal for the fourth edition of the ΣND MS Benefit Concert is to raise over $12,000 dollars for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in hopes of finding a cure for this horrible disease, but we can't do it without YOUR help! Donations are 100% tax deductible, and no donation is too small!

This year we have streamlined the donation process and you can now donate directly through our event’s online giving page on the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s official website. More in depth information on our event is available on the online giving page. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here: www.SigmaNuGSU.com/donate-to-end-ms (it will link you to a secure National MS site). Making a donation is quick and easy. All you have to do click the "Donate" button and follow the instructions to make an online donation. If writing a check sounds like a better idea, please make the check out to "The National Multiple Sclerosis Society" and send it to the address listed below. Here’s to another year of this great event!

From Brian Griffin, ΘΚ 759: Congratulations Theta Kappa Chapter, alumni, family, and friends – this morning with one additional donation we exceeded our goal of $10,000! This is a significant milestone for our chapter, but more importantly it is another step in eliminating Multiple Sclerosis in our lifetime. Thank you to all the supporters, donors, members, and friends who helped do this!

From the Theta Kappa Alumni: Congratulations and thank you to Brian Griffin, Theta Kappa Chapter, and our most generous donors for reaching this milestone in such a worthy cause! It could not be more fitting that it was accomplished on just the 2nd anniversary of the first check we handed off on January 17, 2013 and on the day of our 3rd Annual Commanders' Dinner! Great job - this demonstrates the character of Theta Kappa!

    Alumni, Collegiates, Parents, and Friends...

As Community Service and Philanthropy Chairman, I am proud to announce that Theta Kappa had raised a total of $8,200.12 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the 2014 ΣND MS Benefit Concert. This was a little short of our goal $10,000, but admirable! I am happy to report that over the holidays we received an additional check for $1,000 raising the total to $9,200.12 with a challenge to continue our campaign until we hit $10,000.

Please consider a donation to the National MS Society through Theta Kappa to heal us break the $10,000 barrier. ! There is no amount too small, and every little bit helps in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. If you would like to make a donation online, you can do so here: www.SigmaNuGSU.com/donate-to-end-ms. If you would like to make a donation via check, please address the check to "The National Multiple Sclerosis Society" and send it to the PO Box listed below right away.

Your donation is fully tax deductible. If you donate on the “National MS website” you will receive your charitable donation credit for Tax Year 2015, but if you mail a check dated before 12/31/2014 to the PO Box below and we receive it very soon (it may already be in the box, since school has not started) your accountant may allow you to take the charitable credit for 2014.

Together, we can realize our goal of raising $10,000, and move one step closer to realizing the greater goal of a world without Multiple Sclerosis; we will also break the $10,000 fundraising barrier, which is a first for us!

    Thank you, and God Bless!
