1. 2026 is a Great Year! 2026 holds special meaning to Theta Kappa as it is the 40th anniversary of the 1986 Alumni Initiation of 14 founding & early members that included a founder & 1st Commander, Robert Williams (0258). It is also the 40th Anniversary of our Fall 1986 Pledge Class, which was our first pledge class of 30 or more. And it is the 40th Anniversary of Homecoming 1986, which set a new standard for Homecoming celebrations, and culminated with a focus on building a house. See more at: www.sigmanugsu.com/0.
2. Recommend a Rushee. Make a membership referral to your chapter. It could be a son, nephew, cousin, relative, neighbor’s son, co-worker’s son, or just someone you know – it eases the process and a REC opens the future to a young man to something we all love. It is like getting an internship in an industry a young man is considering. With a REC to our chapter you can make a significant impact that young man’s future and on our future. 3. August 18th in Atlanta. We’ve got two great events on Tue., Aug. 18th for you to engage with Sigma Nu hosted by our HQs team and local alumni. The annual special event, the Atlanta Honorary Board at the Cherokee Town Club in Buckhead for a luncheon starting at 11:15 am and the August Atlanta Alumni Club at the Red Phone Booth downtown at 6:00 pm. 4. Homecoming 2026. The Fall 2026 Alumni Weekend & Homecoming is scheduled for October 9-11, which is now confirmed and is a different date from GSU's Homecoming. We are “locked & loaded” for this weekend, so start making your plans. This is the 40th Anniversary of our Alumni Initiation of 1986 and of the Fall 1986 pledge class, so it should be a grand weekend. It’s an anniversary for several groups, so please make plans to join and return to see your chapter and your brothers. More at: www.sigmanugsu.com/2.
5. Rock Chapter! Our beloved Theta Kappa Chapter was awarded its 3rd Rock Chapter award in less than 10 years on July 23, 2025, at the 71st Grand Chapter in San Antonio, TX. Our 55th Commander, Mac Broome (1102), accepted the prestigious award. See more at: www.sigmanugsu.com/7.
6. Pilgrimage 2026. Our next annual pilgrimage to the Sigma Nu HQs Shrine will be the weekend of September 18-20 and we are already planning for it. This trip will include the Fall 2026 Candidate Class and the Spring 2026 Initiate Class. The pilgrimage is funded by alumni that contribute to the Theta Kappa Development Fund (TKDF) at the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation (SNEF). See more at: www.sigmanugsu.com/3.
7. SNTK Graduates. We graduated 18 brothers this Spring, so congratulations to them and WELCOME to the alumni chapter. Connect with, congratulate, and welcome these new alumni into our ranks. 8. Commander’s Dinner. Our 13th Commander’s Dinner Sat., Jan. 16, 2027, at 6:00 pm. It is at the Capital Grille – Buckhead in Atlanta, again. The dinner will honor our newest Eminent Commander and will thank outgoing commander, so join us. See more at: www.sigmanugsu.com/5.
