  • Help Wanted! Career Advancement Assistance

  • We are looking for facilitators and subject matter experts for our Career Advancement Weekend planned for May 1-3 (in conjunction with the SNTK Alumni Baseball Weekend) and in the future. The areas of concentration are based on the majors and career goals of the collegiate membership.

    Those career catagories are:
    1. Sales & Marketing
    2. Business & Business Information Systems
    3. Finance, Accounting, & Business Finance
    4. Construction Management & Engineering
    5. General Studies & generic topics

     

    General Agenda:

    10:00 am - Session 1: Group session on careers, internships, interviewing, and getting the best job.

    11:00 am - Session 2: Breakout Sessions (3-5) by Major (above).

    12:00 pm - Session 3: Group Panel Discussion/Q&A with 5-8 alumni that are business leaders.

    1:45 pm - Session 4: Networking Social at the YellaWood Deck. All alumni/all collegiates.

    • GS Baseball vs Coastal Carolina
    • Grilling Hot Dogs & Hamburgers plus sides
    • Bring your own cooler – NO glass


    We hosted a very successful “Industry Advancement Weekend for Construction Management” in 2025, which was facilitated by six (6) Theta Kappa Alumni. This will be similar, but we are applying the lessons learned. Don’t worry, we will have a group of facilitators, so you won’t be left to carry this event on your own.

    For 2026, we started planning for Sales & Marketing, but we would like to expand into the other areas, if possible, either now or in the Fall. We expect we will do several hours on Saturday before the baseball game and if needed, possibly a couple hours on Sunday morning, if we do not finish up on Saturday.


    Some alumni attending that weekend will just be here for the social aspect, a baseball game, hanging out, or golf – that is totally okay! This program is part our approach to the Sigma Nu LEAD program. If you are interested in the Career Advancement for our members in May or in the future, please fill out the form below.
